Who am I?

Hi, I’m Amaia. I'm a copywriter and translator based in Southampton, England.

I write copy in English and I translate from Spanish, French and Italian into English.

I grew up bilingual and this sparked the fire of my obsession with all things language. My first words were Spanglish hybrids and my childhood creative writing always ended in a cliffhanger. I promise, I did eventually learn a few more literary devices.

Studying modern languages and living and working abroad granted me with a knack for understanding people from different cultures and backgrounds.

This translates to understanding different customer personas – your target audience isn’t just one person, it’s a whole scope of different people who simply have a number of things in common.

I know when a word or a phrase means something here, but not there. I know what makes your target audience tick, and I know what sparks emotion.
